Los Marceles are an accordion and bajo sexto duo based out of Austin, Texas. Brothers, Valentin & Marcial Chapa Jr., make up the group. The first incarnation of Los Marceles was founded in 2011. The original line-up consisted of Valentin, Marcial Jr., their four other brothers, and their father. The family patriarch, Marcial Chapa Sr., was the glue that held the family band together. The name, Los Marceles, is a tribute to their father. The brothers would actively tour the Tejano music scene until their father's passing. Soon after the passing of their father, Los Marceles disbanded. In 2014, Valentin and Marcial Jr. decided to give music another go. The duo decided to take a different direction and switched to Conjunto music. Legendary accordionist, Esteban "Steve" Jordan †, is one of the duo's biggest musical inpirations. The duo will be hitting the studio to record their latest album in June. Los Marceles are currently signed to Hacienda Records (Corpus Christi, Texas).
