Gather round, Conjunto fans - we're about to kick it up a notch with our Tejano-Conjunto Tardeada series with AustinVida at One-2-One Bar.
Sunday, October 15th, you are cordially invited to hear some of the best Conjunto to come out of the Rio Grande Valley courtesy of Gilberto "Chore" Perez Jr. y Su Conjunto! Chore and the guys (acordeonista Juan Antonio Tapia, bassist Aldo Solis and brother Javier Perez on drums) made their Austin debut back in May at the Rancho Alegre Conjunto Festival at Stubb's and now they're back!
As if that weren't enough - there's more. The man himself, the legendary Gilberto Perez Sr., will be there too. One of the most beloved Conjunto artists of all time hasn't played in Austin in quite some time, so this is a pretty big deal for us.
It's our honor to bring this Conjunto master and his sons who are carrying on his legacy to one of the very best music venues in town. There's bound to be a surprise or two in store...
Doors open at 5:30pm, music from 6-8pm. $7 cover, kids under 18 welcome with adult, plenty of free parking, you can bring your own food but no outside drinks.
One-2-One Bar is located at 1509 S. Lamar, between Oltorf and Barton Springs.
Come join us - share the poster, tell your friends and family who don't have Facebook or internet!
