Good morning everyone!

After a month off following the great success of our 4th Annual Rancho Alegre Conjunto Festival and our first time at Stubb's, we're back in the saddle and ready to get to work! 

First, we are thrilled to announce that we will be presenting a weekly tardeada series in association with our friends at AustinVida at One-2-One Bar on south Lamar. We are very excited about the opportunity to bring our trademark variety and creativity to a regular Sunday tardeada at such a great Austin Live music Venue. It's a great space with fantastic sound, plenty of room to dance and a full bar. Our tardeadas will be from 6-8pm and AustinVida presents Salsa dance lessons and live band from 8-10pm, so you can hang around for that as well!

We start on July 2nd at 6pm with a unique, intimate performance by Grammy Award winner David Farias, as you don't typically see him: puro bajo sexto y acordeon! More groups to be announced as we fill out the schedule. 

Then on July 22nd, we'll have a Conjunto super dance you won't soon forget: Nick Villarreal, Mark Weber y Los Cuernos, and Los Thunderbirds will tear it up at the Austin Moose Lodge, hot off their fantastic appearances at the Rancho Alegre Conjunto Festival! Mark Weber also has a killer new CD called Moonshine and Mexicans, which he will have for sale at the show. Come join us for a great night of some of the best Conjunto around and we'll also be celebrating Jesse Colunga's Birthday!

Speaking of the festival - we'll be back at Stubb's for next year's Cinco de Mayo celebration and it will be even bigger and better than ever!

Lastly, and some of you know this already, we have decided to part ways with KOOP and no longer have our show on Monday mornings. We miss you all on the radio, but we're growing as an organization and are exploring other opportunities to preserve and promote Tejano and Conjunto music, including greater use of our site and all of the events above! And of course, we always have a curveball ready and a few surprises up our sleeve...
